We’re Kirsten and Graham–two moms aspiring to create elegant spaces and gracious homes, while dealing with real-life spaces, budgets, and children.
In each new podcast episode we share and show what we know, what we’ve learned, what went wrong, and how to fix it.
For everything we can’t make up, we bring in the best experts we can find.

We don’t always look like we do in that photo above…
Graham Smith is a Northern Belle who married her college sweetheart and followed him to his hometown of Birmingham, Alabama. She comes from a family of designers–landscape, interior, and fashion–but as a mom of two boys still struggles with the best way to make her house into a home. Every time Graham’s grandmother entered her house she would greet it by saying “Hi, house”–you could almost feel that the walls answering her with “Welcome home”–and that’s the feeling Graham strives to create within her own four walls. Graham has a background in broadcast journalism, sales, and most recently worked on Capitol Hill.
Kirsten Dunlap lives in sunny Phoenix, Arizona in a white farmhouse-style cottage she and her husband designed and built. When she’s not mothering her three children, writing, or podcasting, she’s probably busy on Houzz.com coming up with her next project. Kirsten’s can’t get enough blue and white china, wainscotting, french doors, and monogrammed linens. Kirsten has had tried more Ikea hacks and had more Pinterest-fails than anyone she knows. She is a former television anchor/producer turned writer, blogger, and now podcaster. She loved brass before brass was cool.
