  1. Loved this podcast! I don’t consider my kids to be picky eaters, but only because their father is far pickier than they will ever be. 🙂 The man doesn’t touch vegetables and would happily eat a burger or pizza daily. That being said, I am finding that pickiness is happening in stages. My daughter loved any kind of puree as a baby, then wouldn’t touch a vegetable. Until Kindergarten, where she suddenly became super open to trying things. My son isn’t a big eater at all, but he’ll eat different things at daycare than at home. And yes, I will make him something special if I know he doesn’t like what the rest of us are eating. I find deconstructing meals, a la Dinner A Love Story helps me find ways to do that without being a short order cook.
All that to say, all we can do is present the options and hope that eventually, our kids will become less picky over time.
