Milestones & Memory Keeping: The Mom Hour, Episode 92

Is there anything sweeter than baby’s first social smile (you know, the one that definitely ISN’T gas) or a two-year-old’s adorable mispronunciations? In Episode 92 Meagan and Sarah revisit some of their favorite milestones from baby’s first three years – including a few that don’t get discussed very often.

We also talk about keeping track of milestones and memories using everything from an old-fashioned baby book to the latest technology, and offer tips for recording those little moments you swear you’ll remember forever. (Spoiler alert: you won’t. Trust us.)

  1. I am expecting our first child in May and just downloaded the app. I can’t wait to use it to come up with fun ways to interact with my baby! Thanks!!

  2. Do you know if there will be an Android version of the WeeSchool app before the June deadline? The WeeSchool website just says “coming soon” so I wondered if you had any insight? If you mention it in the podcast, then I apologize. I haven’t been able to finish the episode yet (and when I do listen, I’m usually doing something else so I could easily miss a detail like that). Thank you for making this podcast!

When Sarah was talking about writing down things our kids say – I had a journal for like 2 years “just for this reason”, and I of course never opened. Then I started using a Bullet Journal this year, which has been a game changer – and one page every month is just called “This month my baby said…” and I’ll just jot down phrases or words or things she has said. The book is always with me, since it’s my to -do list, grocery list, book list, work out schedule, etc – and once the page is set up, i’m much more inclined to add to it! This I’m hoping will be my anchor in time, as you were talking about. Thanks for another awesome episode, ladies! 🙂

  4. I love the weeschool app concept. I will definitely download and check it out. Although, my daughter is already 4 years old 🙁 Sometimes, you just wish you can turn back time. In fact, I was doing a round up on the maternity belly painting trends.. And as I was going through the amazing ideas… I was like.. damn, I wish I was pregnant now !! But hey, enough with my ranting!!  Your work is amazing! Congratulations and wish you loads of luck… Cheers and keep rocking!
